Episode 29-Srike!

bowling with gab,momo,zhihao,shuyi and simin at yishun's orchid country club. $3.90 per game. quite ex lah. but no choice since it was saturdae and we are non-members.

v long nvr bowl liao. onli managed to like hit someth during the 3rd frame. lol! tai ko tai ko got a strike here and there lah. think i need more prac sia.

after bowling we went to suntec. momo went home while aileen joined us for dinner. we had japanese cusine at iciban boshi. V NICE! the service and ambience was gd and most importantli, the food is worth ur $$$. average price of $14 will get u a set meal of like handmade soba with miso soup and fruits.

i had this chicken katsu toji set at $13.90. its like chicken cutlet with egg and rice lah. comes with fruits and miso soup as well. not bad. quite i would rather go for the soba and katsu set that gab, zhihao and shuyi had. its the same as mine, onli less chicken but comes with soba. cheaper by a dollar oso.

hmm...i give it 3.5 out of 5. shall go again next time.

2007 is coming. planning to go for the marina countdown and look at fireworks. den maybe go stay over at momo house and party bah.

Episode 28-Botak Chuan Meets Botak Jones

had botak jones western food for dinner at amk with gab and momo. its loacted in some wulu part of amk so had to take the feeder bus. damn far and the queue is damn long. but since tv and newspapers have been recommending it, we decided to give it a try.

every1 at the kopitiam is like eating botak jones lah. they had like donoe hw mani cooks and donoe how mani waiters lah. we waited for ard 30-45mins and finali our orders came.

looks nice? but don taste nice at all! the waiting time is not worth it at all. compared to uno's beef house, the 45 mins is not worth waiting for. the fries r as hard and dry as the ones in aj's canteen and the fish is like any other ordinary fish and chips in other places. the beef patty was disapointing as well. dry and not juicy at all. bleh~

and the ang mo waitress is not chio or hot at all!

waste our time and money sia. the fish and chips and burgers cost $5.50 a set. and the super large size cheese fries costs $7! we cant finish everyth in the end. was too bloated and sick of the oily hard fries. argh~

Episode 27-Long Long Break

woohoo! 2nd bookout! this time round its 4 daes! huray~

2moro got outing wif sis3. shld be going bowling bah. den later going out wif momo and gab. so fun~

ns so far so gd lah. nothing reali bad happened to me yet. but got alot of stories like blur sotongs and this guy who went bonkers and had to be sent home. shall talk abt it next time.

Episode 25-1st Bookout!

woohoo! it's my 1st book out! but sadly onli haf 24hrs sia. muz go in on xmas nite at 2000. nevertheless, i decided to do some blogging b4 catching up on my sleep. everydae lights out at 1030 and muz wake up at 0530 very tough sia.

btw, the 1st episode of season 2 is episode 19. so scroll down and read from there 1st before continuing.

i have been counting down for this moment since i enlisted. i think my bunk mates muz be quite irritated by my daily and hourly countdown everydae bah. lol~

guess wads the 1st thing i ate after booking out? MACDONALDS! lol~ i was telling every1 in camp that i am gona get it after i booked out lah. i brought macspicy and nuggets and fries and coke. damn shoik sia. so long nvr eat such nice but unhealthy stuffs liao.

i guess it must be a real farnie scene-imagine this guy in army uniform and cap buying mac. lol~

Episode 24-Ready, Fire!

practised with the dummy rifle 2dae. quiet heavy sia. and i was quite clusmy with it lah. still cant reali noe how to like throw and catch it with onli 1 hand. all my steps oso quite messed up sia.

guessed i am too busy counting down to the 1st bookout bah.

Epsiode 23-Left, Right, Left Right Left

i love marching! esp so during the 1st few tries. can see alot of pple same hand same leg. very farnie. and its even farnier when u urself do it and realised how idiotic u look.

foot drills are reali difficult for me. i cant remember all the malay commands. always juz agar agar one. sometimes pple turn i don turn. haha. feels quite silly lah. got pulled out by sergent that and given one to one lessons. super paiseh sia.

luckili i learn quite fast and so far hopefully not much prob bah. needs more time to familarise with all the commands sia.

Episode 22-A Close Shave~

i like my new haircut. short and cooling. quite nice oso. make me even more handsome looking. haha!

but the barbers was reali horible. very rough one sia. we all felt as if they were shaving the head and not hair. u can feel the razor pressing hard against ur scalp lah.

lucky nvr bleed or wad. but some pple nvr cut properli, got like a few long strand dangling out lidat. quite farnie sia. lol~

Episode 21-Sweat and Swear

sweat. and sweat and sweat. dats wad we do everyday. physical training was quite fun lah. the daily 'warming up' is hoing enough liao. 20 jumping jacks, 20 crunches, 20 pushups, 20 squats and many other torturing stuffs.

sometimes we will haf runs or strength training. quite fun lah. esp when u train with everyone of the same standard. somemore ptp is progressive one. so it wasnt reali that xiong until pple collapsed or wad. so far so gd lah.

swear. every1 juz swear and swear. donoe why but for some pple, they muz use vulgarities in every sentence like punctuations like that. lol~

for those who are going to be enlisted, guess u guys better be mentally prepared for any possible culture shocks bah.

Episode 20-Checking In

woohoo~ i am in raven company! same as drag. but diff platoon.

well. for those who donoe a single shot abt army system like b4 enlistment, there are 2 schools, bmtc sch 1 and 2 on tekong. each sch houses ard 10 companies[a for apache, b donoe for wad bullshit, c for etc etc r for raven, n for ninja m for mohawk etc] sch 1 is like from a to g and sch 2 the rest i think.

in each company, there are 4 platoons. each platoon consists of 4 sections. each section can haf a max of 13 pple and they share a room together. i am in raven company platoon 3 section 3 bed number 1. so my '4d no.' or identification no is R3301. can go buy 4d sia~ lol!

when i chked in that dae at 1230 plus, there was onli like 3 raven pple and the other 100plus were like ninja, orion and mohawk lah. by evening time, my section onli has like 5 pple. quite pathetic sia.

but the gd thing is that i nvr kana certain companies like mohwak or ninja. even b4 enlistment alread heard rumours that they r the quite hoing one.

started unpacking the stuffs they gaf us. got damn alot sia. and my bunk is like on the lvl4 lah, have to drag the stupig bulky bag up stairs. but the bunk not bad lah, got sea view, can enjoy the breeze and see the main island.

Episode 19-The Enlistment!

finali! it's 15th dec fri. time for chuan to enlist into the much dreaded ns.

went down to pasir ris bus interchange with ah ma, ah gong, mum, dad and bro. and my super big and heavy bag somemore. took a cab down and the cabby uncle knew imediately i am going ns upon hearing the destination and seeing me with my big bag. super freaky lah! the hardware shop uncle oso. its like i went to buy a lock for the locker with mum and the uncle asked imediately whether is it for ns sia~

reached pasir ris and saw damn lots of pple with bags and the 'enlistment look'. took a coach down to changi air base and took ferry to island pulau tekong!

they r damn cruel lah. parents/relatives/frens are separated from u not long after u disembarked. den we exchanged the pink ic for the green military one. forced to watch some propaganda video for like 3 times while waiting for the oath taking ceremony, telling u why ns is gd, why shoul we go ns blah blah blah.

arron that aj enterprise guy luckili was sitting next to me lah. still can haf some1 to talk to. during the ceremony, the donoe wad commander in charged aka the highest ranking guy in tekong, answered the parents' ques. i guessed most pple were concern about the 1st 2 weeks confinement thingy. since we booked on 15th, by rite our 1st book out shld be 14daes later. but fortunately, since xmas is like 10 days away, we got to book out on 24th and onli book in on 25th nite!

and guess wad? we get a 4 daes break 4 daes after xmas from 29th to 2nd jan 2007! woohoo! poor jan and april pple haf to do teh 14 das confinement thingy~

after the oath taking was the finale-meal sampling. we got to join back to our families and test out the 'doesnt look nice at all and reali don taste delicious at all' canteen food.

den it was bye bye time. quite sad lah. esp when u see all the parents waving gdbye to us kids at the ferry terminal. ok. end of enlistment. stay tuned for next epsiode!

Episode 18:Season 1 Finale-The Final Countdown

the countdown timer saes 14hrs left. v sad. going off soon. haiz~

had a v short last meeting with gab and momo. went to orchard. it's like the 3rd time i went orchard dis week lah. well, the place don reali matter much actuali, it's the people...

since it was like my last dae of freedom, they decided to let me choose what i want for lunch. initiali wanted mac, cos like we don ever eat mac together b4 and somemore mac is like one of my fav food lah. but gab put up some strong protest and in the end we settled for mos burger, someth which i like oso lah, so not that bad.

the mos at shaw plaza is reali reali reali gd! esp this auntie. she juz clear tables but she is like the most enthu and polite one lah. she would like ask for the no. of people and help u get a seat, juz like how they do it at resturants. and she will help kids to carry their orders to the tables. she oso sent u off with a big thank you smile after ur meal. we wanted to find the feedback form and praise her but couldnt find any. some1 shld nominate her 4 some awards sia. this is wad i call good service from the heart!

and while having my fish burger meal with nuggets, i got myself a new sticker and decided to paste it on my tee! see the green colour thingy?

anyway, after lunch was our usual 'walkathon'-window shopping! we walked to ps and went to the arcade. lol! played the spot the difference game again and tried to beat the high scroes. but the top 3 places in almost all the machines are dominated by this couple lah. and it's much higher scores than the ones in suntec sia.

we went home at ard 1800 and saw kien te at the mrt! she going shopping again! always meet her at ps one. lol~ we took a pic together as she said i wasnt at prom. den asked her to help the 3 of us take a grp photo. it's like our very 1st bro3 pic lah. haha. quite sad arh. i last dae liao den take.

got toothbrush, toothpaste, clothes hangers, clothes pegs, undies, face towel, my new black plastic specs, dettol body wash, ginvera green tea shampoo, dynamo detergent, lots of medical stuffs, slippers, money, cheapo lousy hp with no camera...dats about it bah. looking forward to all the stuffs they going to issue us 2moro! got 'welcome gift pack' somemore. more like welcome to hell gift pack bah. haha!

Episode 17-The Reunion

went out with ada and qicai 2dae! intially thought will be damn boring with so few pple. somemore it's like the 1st time we go out 2gether. but in the end it turns out to be so damn fun!

after waiting for like 45mins for miss ada at suntec city, we went for lunch at kfc at marina square. den on our way back to suntec city, we saw giant candy floss at onli $1.50 and decided to share one.

it's so damn big it covers ada's face and qicai kept having trouble plucking it. every1 was looking at the kiddy us while we walked lah. lol!

at minitoons, i brought this big bag of gummies. 300grams sia. but $4.50 onli. quite cheap though. haha~

next was ben and jerry! so happi! kiddy was like our unofficial theme for 2dae lah. all the stuffs we do and eat all kiddish one. lol!

den we opened the bdae/xmas gift for qicai and played with it! it's the jambo version of the croc dentist game!

you haf to press the teeth and it will snap it's mouth if u press the random 'bad tooth'. we even tried to figure out the no battery mechanism and even tried to analyse if there was any particular order for the 'bad tooth'. every1 was looking at us[again!] when we played and made lots of noise lah!

next was arcade. we played mani mani games. one of my fav is takio master[the jap drums game] super fun!

somehow both of them decided to wear green 2dae while i was in brown. *scandalous!

den we played this find the difference game. seems easy but actuali quite hard. esp later stages where u haf less time. we were super crazy when playing it lah. spent alot of money on it though 1 credit 50cents onli. all bcos we wanted to beat the high score and leave our names in it!

finali we got 1st. after like donoe how many games. phew~ there was this uncle who helped us alot lah. so we decided to include his name in too. lol!

sent them home to yiochukang at ard 1830. den i took the mrt back to citihall to meet up with kong kerr drag and harry for dinner. we had tony romas[forgot the exact name liao, the one selling ribs lah] not nice one. luckily i ordered the cheapest and smallest meal. but it was fun meeting ur classmates up.

was on msn and sudenli received influx of msgs asking me abt fri. discovered got pple like wenjie and chee wei same enlist time as me at 1230 sia! and chee wei told me fri onli got 3 companies booking in wor. guess quite high chance meeting pple i noe bah.

sad~ last dae liao. realised that somehw even the simplest things can be so fun. maybe cos it will be like the last last last time u do it and will haf to wait long long b4 having the chance again bah. or maybe it's cos got all ur frens ard, whom u wont be seeing for v long.

gona miss u guys~when i book out during xmas and new yr muz muz muz go out and play!

Episode 16-The Last Meeting~

v sad. it's like the last meeting wif everyone b4 enlisting lah. have to wait like 10 daes b4 i can bookout during xmas sia. *cries~

went for my last slacky gym and swim session wif gab in the morn. den we went orchard walking walking and walking in the evening.

2moro got outing wif binti's employers. but mum[seeman] fell sick. so onli meeting up with the twins[qicai and ada]. den evening got dinner with kong and kerr and maybe drag. quite sad arh. like very few pple like that.

currently helping sonia on her 'blog'. big challenge sia. all the cutie pinky fonts and logo designs. *headache! but i like~ haha!

the timer is counting down way too fast! 2 days left! ah~

Episode 15-Ready!

juz came back from solo shopping trip. went to amk and hg mall to get my cheapo $3.80 alarm clock, snake powder herbal version and more hush puppies anti-bacterial briefs. guess i finali brought all the ns stuffs liao bah.

mum did a simple calculations. everyth runs up to ard $300 sia. so ex~

hmm...wednesday is gona be a damn busy dae sia. got kbx with binti's employers and then nite got dinner with 1105 pple. so fun!

Episode 14-The Orchard Xmas Crowd

went shopping wif mum and bro in the afternoon in bugis area. got damn bored and fred smsed, asking whether the guys will be meeting up later for dinner/movie etc as planned. well, alvin wasnt free and kerr[ya...she is considered one of the guys~] is going mos, so told him to ask others and maybe i will join later.

sad. he nvr replied. gab den called after finishing his church stuffs and jio me put. since the 'shopping' was like so boring and no replies heard from fred side, i decided to pangseh mum and go do my own shopping instead. lol~

orchard road is sooooooooooo crowded. xmas is coming and everyone is out doing xmas shopping. was expecting less pple since there is zoukout 2nite and according to kerr, mos is having a free entry promotion.

quite sad sia. it's like the very last time shopping at orchard b4 going for ns. maybe it wil be months b4 i go there again.

had dinner at don noodle house at tanglin mall. practically all the food outlets in orchard area are filled with pple eating and waiting. so we thought that it would be wise to walk down to the wulu tanglin area where there would be less pple.

well, don noodle house is cheap. but not exactly nice. the ramen soup is soya based instead of miso based, so it tasted exceptionally salty. bleh~ not very good at all and not filling~

6 days left! time to do the final preparations liao. i am still lacking a decent alarm clock, brown cap and more undies. gona do more shopping next week! guess will haf to rest at home 2moro liao. legs damn tiring and painful sia.

Episode 13-My 1st Xmas Gift of 2006!

kbx-ed with sis3 on thurs. did the usual stupig k-dance thingy towards the end. we got room 1 which was like next to the counter. some staffs saw what we were doing and pretended to be chatting outside while peeking at us.

had dinner at pastamania and we exchanged xmas prezzies! so hapi, it's sort of like our tradition since sec 4? haha!

the gals gaf us a bottle of marshmellows and they handmade the cutie clay caps. we randomli picked the 4 boxes but somehw the one we picked seems to represent our very own character.

mine was papa penguin and his son[made by simin]. according to her, the inspiration came from happy feet. papa penguin and baby are waiting for mama penguin to return with food. how it represented me? well, it's so blue and cool~ and i am currently still waiting for the gal of my life to appear~ lol!

shengchao got snoopy[i forgot made by who liao. *oops!]. got cookies lying ard snoopy, just like the always hungry shengchao~

gab got this bear with lots of prezzies around the glittering floor. well, he is polarbear and so maybe it was fate that he got the bear.

zhihao[who pangseh us for some chalet thingy~] got mr snowman. well, his jokes are always so cold, so snowman is very suitable for him.

initially we gaf the gals a gachapon toy each. told them what we spent a lot of time and money on the machines getting them. lol. was expecting them to be liek quite disapointed. imagine receiving a small toy from the gachapon machine for xmas. so insincere lah! but somehw they sae they r hapi wif it, not very disapointed. weird~

den it was time for the real surprise![we always plan such surprises one]we gaf the gals this personalised handphone strap[though in the end they all used it as keychains, ipod chains but not on hps]. got it from the newly opened mu-ee shop in vivo. well, u cant find this design in the shop cos we asked them to specially help us add in the tag so we can laser print the gals name on it.

so hapi that i got my 1st xmas prezzie. hope got more to come![*hint hint*]hmm, i think we r quite creative sia. though the prezzies may be simple, but we spent a lot of time and effort to make them interesting and the xchanging fun. we also like to gif weird farnie and lame prezzies. spongebob boxers are like sooooooooo overused lah. not creative at all. haha!

feels so damn bored stuck at home lah. nothing much to do online or watch on cable. sianz. i want to go out before enlisting! argh~

i found this smart bot for msn! juz add smarterchild@hotmail.com to your contact list! he is a automated reply bot that can 'talk' to you! so cool~

the bad thing is that you will have to type in standard english. can ask him anyth, like spell check or wadsoever. can also play games with him. but he will also ask you some irritating ques initially. nevertheless, he replies immediately, not like some pple~lol!

Epsiode 11-Enough of shopping!

bleh~ 2dae shopped until my legs gona break liao. finalli finished shopping for gab's prom stuffs. after walking around orchard, den marina, den suntec, we finali got a domanchi shirt at vivocity. *i will not go prom shopping with anyone anymore!

finali did some xmas shopping 2dae! brought everyth from vivo. spent quite a lot but its worth it lah. hope they will like the gifts~

why pay so much for dinning at sakae sushi or any other resturants juz to look at mr merlion standing on sentosa? go to the rooftop! dinner was cheapo sushi brought from giant supermart. comes in a plate, comprising of 7-8 sushi[wif 3 piece of salmon!], they onli cost around $6. wait til after 8pm and it drops to $5.50!

dinning at the rooftop at nite is soooooo fun! u can sit at the amphitheatre and look at the nite sky or sit by the wading pool and dip ur legs in the water where the kids are swimming. best is to bring ur ta pao food to the balcony area and sit down on the floor. u can see sentosa from there and you have cable cars dressed up in bright neon colours above you. and no need to be shy or wad, cos it so damn crowded. sometimes there are also live bands playing at level one. and the best part is that u get to enjoy the cool breeze! no need to pay extra for ex food or aircon!

i think muz go back vivo one dae and bring more pple along~

Episode 9-Being the planner is sooooo troublesome!

been planning the kbx outing. very mafan sia. this person not free that person no money. argh~ in the end there isnt reali a date where every1 is free. someone has to be 'sacrificed'. lol.

but the hardest thing is to decide who shall be the one. i want to go out with every1! it's like the very very very last time b4 i go ns lah. *cries*~

Episode 8-Dis the season to be jolly...

donoe whether thats the exact lyrics. but who cares lah. dec is here and i realised that 1 week since a's have past. quite slow arh. but looking at the fact that in 2 weeks time, i would have been enlisted, somehw time seems to past too fast as well~ sianz...

staying in these few days have given me lots of time to reflect and think of all the weird things in the world. watching too much tv and excessive free time makes my imagination run wild. reali wild. from being a teenager maid working in a foreign country receving a pitiful sum of salary and being abused to being caught up in a global breakout caused by some solar storms and preparing to face the end of the earth. lol.

maybe i shld stop being a couch potato and munching my fellow ruffles chips away. time to get ice cream 2moro! *lame~

i think i spent too much time on the com oso. would onli sleep at like 3am and wake up the next day at 11+. been playing all sorts of weird games recently till wee hours. either that or i would get random calls/msgs from some idiots at 2am wishing me good nite and sweet dreams~. not farnie at all. made me lose my game somemore! argh~

fortunately, i felt better liao. but still, don think can go out and shop/play/eat/stone like b4 yet. so sad. next week muz play like siao liao! must start planning and inviting pple to those kbx/shopping/feasting/buffets outings!
